AHA!
I've just found this. It's a program that provides a virtual keyboard that I can type on with my mouse. Yay! Seems to work and it's freeware!

Oh good. With that and a new arm rest for your scooter, the rest of us have much to look forward to!
Hope your elbow is on the mend.
Hi, I haven't been back here in awhile since closing down my own blog and I just wanted to say that I'm impressed with all of your posts. There's so much good reading here! Thank you! ~Ironjawedangel
Connie, Thanks. The elbow will be slow to heal, I think, but hopefully I won't go stir crazy in the meantime.
IronJawedAngel: I've missed you and your blog. If you have a new one you ever want to share the link to let me know!
Well, if you are using Windows XP, you don't need any additional software. One of the accessibilities features is an On Screen Keyboard.
To get there :
Start >> All Programs >> Accessibility
This post also piqued my curiosity a little. As some one who is familiar with programming, I am interested in knowing if you feel the need for a special kind of software to help with computer tasks.
I am sure I can try to write one if you can provide the details.
I'm all for open and free software. :D
Ooh! I see that now. It's a comparable program to the one I found the other day, except there's no word anticipation. But it does work better with use of capital letters by automatically switching to lowercase once the sentence is started. Thanks, I'll try them both.
At this point, I don't want any complicated accommodations for my computer. My elbow will detemine if that changes.
