On-going blogroll changes

I'm in the process of changing my blogroll, mostly because my bookmarks are out of control and I lost them all recently so I want to use my blogroll to keep current fascinations handy. But also because I keep finding new disability bloggers who are saying interesting stuff.

My categorization is a pretty fuzzy division of gimp bloggers and other people. The former is only used for people claiming disability as a part of their lives and writing more about it than their med changes. That is, they comment on the social experience of disability. If disability doesn't appear to be a focus of their blog and I still wanted to list them, they are in the latter category, as are some parents of disabled children who may write eloquently about disability experiences but don't claim the identity for themselves.

Some links are only on the blogroll for me. I'm still updating. Please let me know if there are errors to correct.

Hi! Put our blog (Disability Studies Temple U.) wherever you like--we're a group blog, so some of us have a personal disability identity, others have a familial, scholarly, or professional interest in disability. (I'm in the familial & scholarly categories, myself...right now, so far, afaik, etc...)

I agree, though, that the disability blogging world is growing every day, and with good quality stuff happening in so many directions. We may be on the verge of needing a real blog carnival; the DS,TU monthly Roundups and your Saturday Slumgullions are catching a lot, but my aggregator is bursting with over 200 feeds now, most of them disability related-- would you say it's carnival time?

Thanks, Museumfreak. The beauty of a carnival format is that you should get submissions from others, so it's not all one host hunting and gathering content. So, there's one host--I'm pretty sure I know how to set up a carnival at blogcarnival.com, but if anyone has creative ideas for naming the disability carnival or practical ideas about timing (every other week?), I'm all ears.

It's fun to do the Roundups, but as I said, every month it takes longer and longer to scan around for content, and every month I feel like we're leaving so much more out!

Every other week sounds great, or that can be adjusted if needed fairly easily. I'd be happy to do hosting as needed, as well. It's totally time.

I set it up. First deadline for submissions is October 9--I'll take the first one, and then we'll start passing around the host duties, how's that?
